Advocating for My Couples as a Marriage Celebrant
One of the most important parts of my role as a marriage celebrant is being an advocate for my couples. On your wedding day, you deserve to feel supported, seen, and celebrated. You are my bosses and your wishes always come first.
Story:
At one wedding, a venue manager asked me to stand in the middle of the couple instead of to the side, which wasn’t what the couple and I had agreed. Wanting to be polite, I said “no problem.” The bride was fine with it, but the groom wasn’t, he wanted me where we’d planned. Just before we started, we quickly regrouped with the venue manager and made the change.
That moment reminded me: my number one job is to advocate for my clients, even if it feels uncomfortable to push back.
Takeaway:
✔️ As a premium wedding celebrant, I don’t just turn up and read words, I protect your vision.
✔️ I only take instructions from my clients, never from family, friends, or suppliers.
✔️ My role is to ensure you feel supported, comfortable, and confident every step of the way.
