The Power of Intimate Ceremonies

Intimate ceremonies - or what is known as “micro weddings”, are on the rise in popularity.

Why? Because more and more couples are moving away from traditional elements, having smaller ceremonies and receptions.

Some are opting for small ceremonies and having bigger parties another day. Others are just wanting a relaxed small affair with just family and close friends.

It’s less pressure, less financial stress, more flexibility and couples are able to spend time with their loved ones on their wedding day.

As a celebrant at these micro events it feels more intimate, like I am almost sharing a secret with a handful of people. When I look out at the crowd, I can see every single person’s face and their emotions. As a result, I feel more connected to the audience and my couple…. And we have a lot of fun!

But most importantly it’s what couples want and it’s a privilege to be invited to share in their intimate affair.
