Wedding days are for people that are in love.

SAME-SEX COUPLE SAYING THEIR VOWS GROUNDS OF ALEXANDRIA

LGBTIQ+ Couples

I have thought long and hard about whether I should create this page but I think the wedding industry still has a long way to go to ensure all vendors and venues are inclusive. When couples come to my website, I want them to see themselves in my content and that should include all types of couples.

One thing I want to make very clear is that I don’t marry every type of couple. I marry couples that connect with me, see the value in what I offer and the couples that I click with too. I don’t marry every heterosexual couple nor will I marry every LGBTIQ+ that comes my way, and that is ok. I know I am not everyone’s cup of tea. But I still want people to feel welcomed when they come to my website.

Would you believe….

The very first couple I married was a same-sex couple, Lauren and Carlee. Originally, we were planning a commitment ceremony but the Marriage Equality Act had just been passed two months prior so I was able to marry them legally. It was such a beautiful experience for all of us!

I then went on to marry many more same-sex couples but coincidently, my 100th wedding was for Rachel and Heather. Two girls! So now that I’ve had two milestones with female couples, my aim is to marry two females at my 200th wedding! I’ve got about 50 to go so I am starting to manifest now! A girl can dream right?

Will you be my 200th same-sex couple?!

“I’m so glad we chose Leah to marry us. From the first time meeting to discuss our expectations for our wedding, Leah made us feeling extremely comfortable. She took the time to understand us personally and that was evident in our ceremony. She was always quick to respond to any questions and provide advice. She really did hold our hand through the whole process.

Our ceremony was so special and Leah told our love story perfectly. The room was filled with love, laughter and a few tears. We’ve since received feedback from friends about Leah and how it felt like we’d known each other for years by the way she personalised our ceremony and took the time to get to know us.

If you want your day to be special and truly reflect you and your partner, Leah is your gal!”
